Vodafone seeking best Android app

Winner will receive £1,000 cash and a HTC Magic

Vodafone UK is inviting the public to come up with their best Android application. The application should be designed specifically with the HTC Magic in mind. The winner will not only receive a £1,000 cash prize and a HTC Magic, but their creation will also be created and made available on the Google Android market place. Ten runners up will also receive a HTC Magic handset.

As a helping hand Vodafone says the best applications are those that make use of the handsets features, such as the on-board GPS capabilities. Entries can be made atwww.vodafone.co.uk/competition with the deadline being September 20^th 2009.

If all this sounds a little familiar then it's not really surprising. O2 launched a similar competition last month for the best iPhone application.
